Hiro Ama has teamed up with Keeley Forsyth to release another piece of blissful experimental electronic music, ‘Billowing’. The off-kilter track, which is centred on the warmth of Ama’s production, is defined by Forsyth’s deeply melancholic, but beautifully soulful vocal. At the bottom of the texture sit droning strings and emotionally evocative field recordings. He elaborates: “The field recording in the track is from a hot summer in Galicia, Spain, where I played at a festival a few years ago. The tune not only reflects my memories of those summers but also brings together different places and times into a cohesive musical memory.” Hiro Ama is releasing his debut solo album, Music For Peace and Harmony, which is due on October 4th, 2024. -Dan Peeke
